who we are

Tahoe Writers Works is a group of writers, poets and other individuals who are interested in the art of writing. We know writing is a lot of hard work but we put in the extra hours to hone our craft. In addition to our monthly meetings and writing workshops, we also oversee the Bare Bones Open Mic Night, write and direct numerous theatre performances, and produce our literary publication, EDGE.

Tahoe Writers Works has monthly meetings and we welcome new voices. There is no obligation other than an exceptional love of the written word. Our next meeting will be on September 14th.

Bare Bones open mic nights

Join us at the Boathouse Theatre for a variety of music, comedy, and spoken word. The Bare Bones Open Mic Nights provide a creative stage for musicians, writers, comedians, and all other performing artists wanting to be seen and heard. Our next open mic is happening on

A Celebration of Writers Around the Lake 2010

September 17th is the second annual "Celebration of Writers Around the Lake." Tahoe Writers Works hosts talent from the lake and beyond in a smart, funny, and inspirational night of prose. ($10 includes wine reception and reading.) 7 pm Reception; 7:30 pm Reading.
